Master/slave technology - Schlüter-Systems
Everything under control:

Central control of (large) LED installations

As a supplement to reliable radio control, you can now also control larger illuminated profile technology installations via master/slave technology. The range of components includes reliable power supply units, intelligent master/slave receivers and elegant switches that send commands wirelessly to the light installation. Only the connections between power supply units and receivers as well as the interconnection between receivers (master/slave and slave/slave) is implemented with cables. As a result, 24 V LED strips can be installed to a length of 984 m, and controlled via a single, central radio transmitter.

Master/slave principle

The master/slave system enables the simultaneous control of several interconnected receivers over long distances (max. 200 m). For this purpose, a master receiver is connected via a 2-core AWG 16 cable with up to 40 slave receivers. The master receiver is taught-in together with the transmitter, and the slave receiver functionality follows the master receiver. This enables large installations with slave receivers far apart from each other to be centrally controlled with only one transmitter.

Schlüter®-LIPROTEC-ERM

Schlüter-LIPROTEC-ERM is a master receiver for the central control of large Schlüter-LIPROTEC light installations using the master/slave principle. The receiver forwards commands received from the radio transmitter to up to 40 slave receivers via a 2-core AWG 16 cable.

Schlüter®-LIPROTEC-ERS

Schlüter-LIPROTEC-ERS is a slave receiver for the central control of large Schlüter-LIPROTEC light installations using the master/slave principle. Up to 40 slave receivers can be controlled by a master receiver via a 2-core AWG 16 cable.

Questions and answers

  • Do I need an electrician for the cabling?

We also offer complete accessories for the cabling. Particularly practical: The Schlüter-KERDI- BOARD installation modules with pre-milled cable channels. They can accept the two-part Schlüter-LTZKK2010 cable channel. The cables are simply inserted into the channel from the front. During the installation the tile setter will route the cable feeds to the individual LED strips. The tile setter can also clamp the individual LED strips together and connect the receiver as well as take care of the connection to the secondary (24 V) electricity supply of the power supply unit. The advantage: No trade must wait for the other.

However, only an electrician may connect the converter to the power mains.
